• Classic Cooke Look: The Cooke SP3 series is based on the legendary Speed Panchro design, combining the distinctive Cooke Look with a modern optical construction designed for digital full-frame sensors. The image remains precise and detailed in the center, while a natural fall-off in sharpness toward the edges creates an organic, dimensional image rendering.
• Consistent T2.4 Aperture: All six SP3 prime lenses offer a consistent T2.4 maximum aperture, providing consistent exposure and precise control over depth of field across the entire series.
• Organic Bokeh and Natural Image Depth: The spherical optical design with nine iris blades produces smooth, rounded bokeh. The natural focus fall-off and controlled breathing support a dimensional rendering of people and environments.
• Compact and Lightweight: The SP3 lenses were specifically designed for mirrorless full-frame cameras, combining professional cine mechanics with a compact, lightweight housing. This makes them particularly well suited for mobile camera setups, gimbal and handheld applications.
• Consistent Cine Mechanics: The focus and iris gear rings are positioned identically across all focal lengths. The standardized 0.8 MOD gear rings allow for fast lens changes without having to reposition focus and iris motors on the camera setup.
• Designed for Modern Full-Frame Cameras: The SP3 series covers both full-frame and Super 35 formats and is available with modern mirrorless mounts including E, RF, L, Z and M. The lenses are also color-matched across the series and compatible with the Cooke Panchro/i Classic series.
